The FIBA 3x3 U18 World Championships

The FIBA 3x3 U18 World Championships, presented by Nike, is the leading 3x3 event for U18 national teams and will take place in the city of Alcobendas, on the outskirts of the Spanish capital of Madrid.

Between 28 and 30 September, 128 men's and 96 women's players from 40 countries will come head to head at the José Caballero Sports Centre in Alcobendas.

The very best from around the world will do battle in six different events: the Boys' 3x3 tournament, the Girls' 3x3 tournament, the Mixed 3x3 tournament, the Samsung Shootout Contest (mixed), the 2ball Contest (mixed) and last but not least the Nike Dunk Contest (boys).

Contrary to the 'open' network of tournaments (which includes the FIBA 3x3 World Tour), players taking part in the FIBA 3x3 U18 World Championships do not create the teams themselves, but instead are selected by their national federations to represent their countries.

In order to be eligible, players foreseen to compete in the 3x3 U18 World Championships are required to be registered on 3x3planet.com and to have played in a minimum of one (1) FIBA 3x3 endorsed event by the time of the competition.

All players must also be born after 1st January 1994 and have the legal nationality of the country they are representing.
